Junior 'Jux' Delgado dies unexpectedly

The reggae world is left reeling from the news that Junior Delgado (Oscar Hibbert) has passed away. The gruff voiced singer with instantly recogniseable yet unique vocal style voiced many classic roots reggae anthems such as Famine, Warrior, Storm is coming, Black mans heart cries out, Sons of slaves, Ticion not to mention the educational 'Dub School' as just a snippet from his multitude of recordings. I met him at the 'Dub Club' in Tuffnell Park when he was part of the entourage surrounding the late Augustus Pablo who was performing there that evening. He greeted me an admiring fan yet a stranger very warm-heartedly. To find out more about the man see link. RIP Junior Delgado 1954 - 2005.
