Don't you just wish you thought of it first? The ingenious money making idea thought up by Alex Tew a 21 year old student consists of a webpage containing one million pixels of advertising space. He has sold the lot at a price of $1 per pixel. He calls his money spinning creation "The Million Dollar Homepage" and you can view it by clicking the link below. NB. The website has been so busy that now you can hardly get through to see what it looks like, I reckon their server has gone into meltdown.
